I have been using this medication for chronic pain since 1997. It’s been a real game changer for me. MUCH better than Oxycontin. But, recently the Mylan brand has been Very unreliable! I have gotten several patches this year (2017) that seem to have little to NO Fentanyl in the patch! I get VERY SICK! Hot flashes, sweats, runny eyes & nose, GI troubles, NO energy at all, no appetite, anxiety, nausea and malaise! I do not understand how this is even possible. For months the lot I get will be fine and then BOOM!! I’m SO SICK I wanna die! I’ve tried to tell my docs but they don’t seem to believe me. So, if ANYONE reading this has had the same problem with the Mylan brand PLEASE contact me. Kara a Rowe at g mail. Other than this problem the patch has been great for controlling my pain.

I was given fentanyl during an out-patient procedure. I was told by everyone I know that I would be totally out of it and wouldn’t remember a thing or feel a thing. I have no idea why, but it didn’t work on me. I not only felt everything, screamed through the procedure while sobbing but I was completely conscious. I wish I knew why – but it simply didn’t do anything other than make me dizzy.

Did nothing for my pain, felt nothing when I stopped during them. To me this drug was a waste of time and money. only happy because Jason scott gave me a free shipping and other drugs in replacement. #Jason4Ever

Some people need to educate themselves about this drug! If used correctly it can be a great way to manage pain.

It is great an easy to use. It keeps your opiaye level stable as long as you change and use properly. But you must be careful and conscientious. Also, you may have to shop pharmacies. The docs dont like this but sometimes you must call 3 or 4 before you find one with the med in stock. Just be careful. Dont overuse or stop. Set a reminder in your phone or tablet or wherever for when to change and stick to the schedule precisely. Keep unused patches under lock & key. Flush used patches immediately. The biggest danger is not to you, the patient, but to kids, pets, unwitting, or foolish adults in your house getting hold of one. If you got a scrip you are tolerant. If a non opiate tolersnt person decides to stick on one of your patches for whatever reason, or a baby puts one in her mouth, or the dog eats one, or your wife gets one stuck to her barefoot. You will jave to live with that the rest of your life. Do NOT let anyone else get near it, follow you cmdocs directions to the letter, and you will be fine.

My doctor started me off on 12 micrograms an hour. The next week, it was 25, the next…it was 50. I stayed on this dose for 6 months. I fell when I was 15, and suffered from “Chronic Sciatic Pain” until I was 41. The doctors had told me for years that it was just nerve pain. I was only on 500mgs of Naproxen until all of a sudden, I was switched to Fentanyl. This drug took me on quite a ride. I felt nothing. I was on top of the world, as for the first time in 26 years, I had no back pain. Please note, my doctor did NOT give me ANY testing, even though I had been asking for YEARS. One day, I was 2 hours late changing my transdermal patch. And I felt VERY bad. My husband and I wrote down when it was changed, right down to the the time, if there was any irritation, etc. All I can say is that things were ok…until they weren’t. My body crashed so hard…so fast…I didn’t have time to even know what the hell was going on. I was in and out of the hospital, off and on for 2 days. Headache, vomiting, anxiety, dry mouth, exhaustion. I had no idea what was going on. I drove my husband to work, and went to my mom’s. I told her I wasn’t feeling well, and was going to bed.
